Duplicate Content Kills

Just recently celebrating its 9th Birthday, although it doesn't seem like it, Google is still young. Their algorithm is ever changing, yet there are certain principals that don't seem to change, Duplicate Content Kills being one of them.

If you look at the purpose of Google, as stated by many of their executives, to provide good, relevant content. This makes sense. This is how they have evolved to such a monstrosity and a source for the worlds' information. Of course, they want to keep it that way.

Lets talk about this point, duplicate content. Duplicate content as defined by Google's Webmaster Blog:

"Duplicate content generally refers to substantive blocks of content within or across domains that either completely match other content or are appreciably similar."
Source Link

So basically, if you are setting up many sites to dominate one keyword, be careful how you do it. From my experience we have had great success setting up multiple sites for clients, by having unique and good content. Also, if you can, provide content about related search terms to your business. If you have or work in any sort of business, I can guarantee you that there is more than one keyword that you can target.

So think with that, its a waste of time to do otherwise.

As always, thanks for reading!

Why Rob a Pizza Delivery Guy?

I saw a Hungry Howies pizza box today that had the following on the side of it:

"Drivers Do Not Carry More Than $20.00"

That is pretty funny. You would have to be pretty desperate to want to rob a pizza delivery guy. But someone must have tried in order for them to put it on the box. Just makes you realize some of the things that people to do survive...

Scuba Diving Pictures!

This is picture of me on one my recent scuba diving trips, when I was in a small cave opening. This was a drift dive, so we spent most of the time floating down the river...so much fun!

Scuba Diving Begins Again!

I haven't been in Florida very much recently. When I went back out I figured I would advance my Scuba Certification. I have my Open Water Diver's cert, but there are so many levels above that.

On Saturday I went diving in a spring out in the middle of no where. It was an amusement park where they had shows that went on and lots of water attractions. I was refreshing on my diving skills since it had been over a year since I went. Everything was going well until I got into the water and we were supposed to sink...I couldn't. After fiddling with it for 10 minutes, my instructor came up and told me that I just need to add more weight. Alright, so I get that, get back in the water and I barely manage to get myself to sink.

We are having a great time diving go down to 25'. Searching on the bottom of part of the big pit we are diving in. After about 15 minutes, we come to top take a break and go down for our second dive. Thats when things got interesting...

I noticed that my regulator (the thing you breathe from) wasn't moving around as much as normal, felt kind of constricted. This was fine as I was only a few feet below and was going down and seeing if I could fix it on the way down. Then all of sudden, I kick my tank with the back of my heel. Now anyone ever look at a picture of a scuba diver? I'll give you a hint, the tank is on their back, definitely not low enough to be kicked. So I realized that my tank was slipping out and should go to the surface to get some help strapping it back on.

I wave to my dive buddy and the instructor that I am going back up, not 20 seconds later my dive instructor shows up and straps my tank back on.

The rest of the dive was so much fun. We went to 42' and it was great to practice again after so long.

Well thanks for reading you will be hearing again soon about more diving adventures and others.
